VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Volunteer Opportunities
Rape Crisis of the Southern Tier is now looking for reliable volunteers.
We have a 24-HOUR, TOLL-FREE CRISIS HOTLINE that is staffed by volunteers who provide counseling to victims or rape
and sexual assault. Our volunteers also accompany rape victims to area hospitals
and/or police stations. RCST facilitates two 30-hour trainings per year which are
mandatory in order to volunteer for the program.
Other opportunities for volunteers
include community education projects staffing health fair tables, and doing clerical work
and mailings. This is a great way to fulfill a community service or internship
requirement for college. If you are interested in volunteering for Rape Crisis of
the Southern Tier, and are at least 18 years of age, please contact RCST at

RCST Education
Rape Crisis of the Southern Tier's education department is available to the
community to facilitate group presentations discussing rape, sexual assault, and other
topics surrounding these issues. Presentations are available to community groups,
schools, and professionals alike. Programs are individually designed to meet the needs of
each group requesting a program. RCST's educators participate at community events
throughout the year. Books and videos in our library are available for loan to other
